About
So you want to know a little bit more about me do you…
Well, currently I’m 33 and live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. I’m married to a wonderful man named Todd and we share our humble abode with our little fur-baby, a Shih tzu named Moxie Crimefighter. That’s Miss Moxie Crimefighter to you.
If I had unlimited resources, I’d be a professional student, but seeing as I’m not rich, 3 degrees will have to do. That’s right, 3 degrees. I have an honours (notice my Canadian ‘u’) degree in Human Kinetics, a degree in Psychology and a degree in Education. I’m a physical education teacher without a teaching position. In this economy, there are no jobs and consequently, I work in an office for a Canadian retail giant (btw – any work peeps that are reading this, please keep it to yourself). That’s right, my bosses don’t know about the teacher part – and I don’t think that they would have originally hired me if they did (lots of other folks didn’t – they think I’m going to get a teaching job and leave – but there are NO jobs, and although I will leave one day, I’ve been there over three years…). But a girl’s gotta do, what a girl’s gotta do.
[So why didn't I keep that last bit to myself and not risk someone finding out about the teacher part? Well, I'm tired of not being able to talk about certain things here, and is it really a big deal? I don't think so.]
Apart from work (I’m glad I’m able to say that sentence), I love to read and I enjoy all things health and fitness. For the past year 3 years, I’ve been transforming myself from the scary couch potato – that was an athlete in her past – to be the person I always thought I was meant to be. I’ve done a good job so far: I’ve lost 70lbs, run seven 5ks, a 10k and six half marathons. I’m doing everything I can to focus myself and lead a full, happy, healthy life. Want to know anything else?
